Quality of management of social service providers
Vrzáček, Petr ; Lorenz, Walter (advisor) ; Matulayová, Tatiana (referee) ; Kuchař, Pavel (referee)
Social peace has a high political value in democratically functioning societies, especially in countries with a socialist past. Politicians are responsible for its achievement by creating appropriate legislative and financial conditions, as well as organizations and their managements, which perform the specified functions in the system. Social service providers have an important position in the performance of social work. While there are quality standards for social services, no sector-relevant model has yet been created for management quality. The aim of this dissertation is to create a quality model of social service provider management based on pragmatism and constructivism. This model is created as an intersection of knowledge contained in organization theory and the current legislative setting of the two legal forms of providers, which are associations and institutions. The theory of the organization is conceived in the work as a meta-theory consisting of three perspectives, which are saturated with content by a set of sub-theories. The relevance of the resulting model is tested in the environment of organizations that took top positions in the Nonprofit of the Year competition in 2013-2019. The created management quality model has 14 perspectives, while the relevance of 12 of them was also...

The aim of this mapping study is to determine the important factors of QWL from the subjective perspective. Expert semistructured interviews were used for this purpose. The results indicate that the identified factors are identical with QWL mentioned by individual authors and institutions. The following factors were identified: absence of stress, interpersonal relationships in the workplace, support from the organization, evaluation of work, working environment. The positively evaluated factors include good relations in the workplace, need and utility of service, and self-actualization. The problematic working factors are financial conditions, obligations arising from the legislative framework, uncertainty about the sustainability of services, view of society and the low level of spatial facilities. The findings might become a contribution for organizations providing social services, be useful in easier implementation and support QWL factors, feelings of well-being at work, for selection of employees,...

The aim of the thesis is to map the needs of social service clients with Parkinson's disease. Based on the needs, the goal of the work is to design a multidisciplinary team, its composition and functioning. In the theoretical part, I deal with Parkinson's disease as such, diagnosis, course, treatment and its side effects. I am also involved in social services, especially those that specifically focus on clients with Parkinson's. This part concludes with chapters on participation and empowerment, patient organizations and the multidisciplinary team as such. The third part deals with the methodology of the research. I used combined research, specifically interviews, field research and a questionnaire. I describe here the data analysis and ethical aspects of the research. The results of the research show that a multidisciplinary team is a suitable variant of care to fulfill some of the clients' needs. Here, I observe where the view of the client himself and the caregivers on the client's needs differ from each other and where they are in harmony. Based on the research, I subsequently propose the composition of a multidisciplinary team and model its functioning. In the discussion, I try to look critically at my work and also to confront it with other works that focus on a similar topic. The conclusion...
